An invasion of insects, and especially cockroaches, can happen quickly. In addition to being extremely contaminating and resistant, cockroaches are characterized by terrifying propagation speed. Indeed, a female can give up to 100 000 descendants! Imagine the colony that is likely to settle in your home! To get rid of them effectively and naturally, try this simple trick.

Cockroaches have a preference for dark, warm and humid places. They usually find shelter in the kitchen, behind appliances, under furniture, in pipes and air ducts, cracks in walls, near garbage cans, and so on. This is why it is very important to regularly check the house to fill cracks and holes that could serve as gateways.

But once settled you must fight them quickly to prevent them from multiplying and jeopardizing your health and that of your family. To get rid of cockroaches, here is a simple and natural tip, which will avoid the use of chemical insecticides full of toxic substances.

Natural tip to eliminate cockroaches

Ingredients:

  • Plaster
  • White flour
  • Powdered sugar
  • Some water

Preparation and use

This mixture ensures a quick elimination of cockroaches. Simply mix the plaster, white flour and sugar. Then place small amounts of this mixture in places where you usually see cockroaches and place small containers filled with water.

Flour and sugar will attract cockroaches. This meal will give them thirst, and the mixture of water and plaster will eventually solidify in their intestines, causing intestinal occlusion and thus their death.

To push the cockroaches out of their shelter and thus eliminate them better, it is advisable to lower the temperature of your home, by opening large windows or temporarily stopping the heating.

Other tips to avoid invading cockroaches:

  • Ensure optimal cleanliness of the house, and of the kitchen in particular
  • Keep leftover food in airtight containers
  • Use the vacuum cleaner to remove small crumbs of food around the furniture
  • Use white vinegar as a cleaner, and spray on windows and door sills as its strong odor acts as a powerful repellent
  • Carry out necessary repairs in and around the house
  • Use garbage cans with lid
  • Place cotton balls soaked with a few drops of lemon eucalyptus essential oil to repel them and prevent them from settling in your home.

If, however, you notice that the number of cockroaches in your home is growing, it is recommended to use the services of a specialized disinsectization company to eliminate them in a radical way and thus avoid the diseases and infections they can transmit.
